Lubbock’s Mugshot Monday: 41 People Arrested the Week Before School

We are very close to Fall and all the pumpkin monsters will be out but if you have been too busy with life or being held in the Lubbock County Detention Center then here is what you missed this week.

Smile, There's a Snake in my Boot

Obviously living in Texas means there's some dangerous things out there in the wild such as cacti, wild pigs, and snakes. Not all snakes are bad but we shared a list of snakes that are native to Texas that could give you a run to the emergency room, and your money. Do not worry though because if you are afraid of snakes then we have something that will take your mind off those scaled cuties (I love snakes). Everyone knows about the smiling bush of Lubbock but there is now a smiling bush cousin of the famous landmark. This new mini bush is just outside of a Rosa's Tortilla Factory and is just the thing you need to see before you get your order of fajitas.

Fire It Up!

While we were on the topic of food there is one way to get a great BBQ buffet. Four Bar K event center hosted their Friday Lunch event last week and that included free beer and an amazing BBQ buffet. This event will be Friday every week and will still have that free beer that everyone deserves at the end of a hard work week. No one deserves free beer more than our firefighters in Lubbock, especially the ones who were recently sent down to Mineral Wells. Those firefighters were sent down to help in the wildfires that have been plaguing those portions of Texas but will be back once their mission is complete.

These 41 mugshots are of individuals arrested and booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center during the week of August 7 - August 13, 2023. The individuals charged should be presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. All arrestees featured below are those charged with a felony offense. A felony offense is classified by the severity of punishment, ranging from the low level state jail felony all the way to a capital felony. Also featured are any individuals who were held on a Fugitive Warrant or Detainer, a United States Marshall Remand, or Immigration Customs Enforcement Detainer.
