Those who make trips to the Lubbock County Tax Assessor-Collector inside the main City Bank building in Lubbock may not be too thrilled with the announcement made this week.

City Bank Location of the Tax Assessor-Collector To Close In February

Ronnie Keister, Lubbock County Tax Assessor-Collector announced on Thursday that the popular office location inside City Bank at 5219 City Bank Parkway will be closing permanently later this month. According to a press release, City Bank's growth has forced them to need the space that the Tax Assessor-Collector has been using.

And from what I know about that location, a lot of people will be disappointed. I've heard that that location is pretty busy with those getting vehicle registrations renewed. The good news? There are several options for people to still get business taken care of.

Lubbock County Tax Assessor Collector Service Locations

The Main Tax Office in Lubbock is located in Downtown Lubbock at 916 Main Street Suite 102. To schedule an appointment, call 806-775-1344.

Slaton Tax Office is located inside the Smith Ford Dealership at 1700 W. Division.

According to the press release, limited vehicle registration renewal services will be available at all United Supermarkets, Amigos, and Market Streets. As well as 2J's Thriftway in Idalou.
