Do you ride the bus? Do your kids? Would you ride Citibus if it was more convenient for you? According to a press release on Wednesday, Citibus will be holding four public meetings in order to hear from the public about how they can make improvements to their service.

Citibus is looking to improve its service by bringing greater access to jobs, shopping, and and local services. They are also looking to improve the mobility of Lubbock citizens who don't drive.

Citibus is inviting the public to attend one of four upcoming public meetings to share any and all feedback and recommendations for potential improvements to its service.

The Citibus organization hopes to make travel by bus shorter and closer to what it would be in a car, to reduce wait times between buses, to connect new areas not currently served by Citibus, and to have on-demand microtransit be more consistently available with a response time of 20 minutes or less.

Additionally, Citibus is aiming to ultimately improve access to jobs, shopping, and local services, to improve mobility for Lubbock residents who can't or don't drive, to build a more connected community through better public transportation, and to strengthen the local economy and provide opportunities to all Lubbock citizens.

Public meetings are scheduled at the following times:

  • September 25, 2023
    • Citibus Downtown Transfer Plaza, 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., 801 Broadway
