Try A Bunch Of Lubbock Restaurants With This All You Can Eat Fundraiser
How does having around 40 different Lubbock food spots in one location try sound? Add in all-you-can-eat and it is the perfect night to raise money for a local nonprofit.
Here's how it works: you buy your ticket and try out all the different restaurants from Lubbock that will be there handing out a bunch of samples of their food and drinks. I'm telling you that if you don't leave the super full, that's your own fault. Plus, they will have live music, a silent auction, two benefit drawings and so much more.
This will be the 24th year they have been celebrating this awesome event. All the money raised goes back to Lubbock Meals on Wheels.
This event is so important because it's their biggest fundraiser. As a private, non-profit organization dedicated to preparing and delivering hot, nutritious meals to those who are homebound, elderly, or disabled, they really do depend on it a lot. They have more than 1,600 volunteers and delivered more than 230,000 meals in 2022. They're currently serving 70 routes in both Lubbock and Wolfforth. They also receive no government funding and are not a United Way agency.
The event will take place on Tuesday, February 28th, 2023 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center's Exhibit Hall. Live music will be performed by Bo Garza, there will be cash bars, plus a variety of activities and other entertainment. They'll have a large children’s play area including a gaming trailer, bouncers, face & hair painting, and much more to keep the kiddos entertained for no extra charge. So this truly is a perfect event for the whole family.
Event tickets are $50 for adults, $15 for children 12 and under and can be purchased in advance on their website, at Lubbock Meals on Wheels’ office, any Select-A-Seat location (service charge applies), or for $55 at the door.
There will be two benefit drawings with only 1,000 tickets sold in each drawing. One drawing is for a $1,000 Southwest Airlines gift card and the other is for a $1,000 Amazon gift card.
I promise you don't want to miss out on this awesome fundraiser. It is easily one of my favorite days of the year. If you would like more information on the event, you can call Lubbock Meals on Wheels directly at: (806) 792-7971.
