Grand Reopening Set for Amarillo’s Chick-fil-A on Georgia Street
It's been a long few months in Amarillo. If you live or work in the Georgia Street area, then you have been feeling the pain, too. The Chick-fil-A that has been a main part of Georgia Street has been closed since July.
They have been working on a remodel. I drive by all of the time and watch the progress. When I first talked to owner/operator Joshua Raef, he said the hope was for it to be back open in October. That is what he said back in July.

Ribbon Cutting Set for October 8
Apparently, that timeline is going to happen. They will be open back up in October, and it looks like the early part of it as well. They are in the process of hiring team members right now in Amarillo. They’re hiring now, with training to follow.
They are about to open. They are going to have a ribbon-cutting to mark the occasion.
We are cutting a ribbon at 9:30 am on Wednesday, October 8th for the Grand Re-Opening and remodeling of Chick-fil-A Georgia Street.
A Look at Drive-Thru Changes
I am looking forward to seeing how exactly they are doing the traffic pattern in the parking lot. I loved how they had it before. It was simple to navigate. The flow of traffic could only go one way. It was nice.
Since they have been closed, I have gone to other Chick-fil-A's and none have it figured out as much as Joshua. We had a hard time navigating and trying to find where the drive-thru started. So to say I can't wait for my Chick-fil-A to reopen, I really can't.
Why Amarillo Loves This Location
The day will be here soon. Just a few more weeks without the iconic Chick-fil-A on Georgia Street. I can't wait. I was there when they opened. I was there to get a last meal before they closed. I will be back when they open.
