The Texas Reefer Madness Train Continues To Roll On
The Texas Senate voted to ban Delta products, the fate of the law now rests with the Texas House.
Texas Lawmakers Will Decide Soon On Ban
It's hard to pin down when the Texas House will fully deal with this potential ban, but the bill is engrossed; meaning all the amendments, and extra lawyer-speak has been built in. It's now a waiting game to see what the fate will be of over 7,000 shops that carry such products in the Lone Star State.
Confession Time
As a non-user, but someone who used to enjoy a little mother nature now and then, I kind of feel like it's my duty to speak up, especially in the face of the lies used to advance these laws. Among those claims are that these stores "target children" and that with just one puff you can be hooked and possibly go into full blown psychosis. I have never seen either of these things happen. If they did, we'd be tripping over bodies in the streets. Oh, let's not forget the whole, "stronger than ever" thing they love to bring up just to move the goal posts on the issue.
Texas Doesn't Care What You Want
I really wish our legislator were a representative form of government. Once elected, they somehow magically know "what's good for you" and quit taking the will of the people into consideration. A solid majority of Texans support decriminalization and outright legalization.
Texas Is Not Buying The B.S. On Cannabis
As with many other Texans, it's hard to be lied to about all of this. We've tried it, decided it was for us or not, and then moved on with our lives. All this increased attention on something we know is patently untrue, just builds trust with the voting public.
