The Mystery Auto Part

What can it be? I live by an O'Reilly Warehouse Store and the items you can get are insane. You can buy a full-on engine if you get there before 10:00 at night. It's so big that they laugh and my pitiful little needs (Okay, they don't laugh, they are actually quite helpful and understand my ineptitude). The point is, if this satellite warehouse near my house has so much, imagine all of the things available in their online catalog.

The Part

If you need a part, it's best to know the part number. I guess the name is good, but nothing hammers home an exact fit like knowing the part. In this case, if you have a very specific need for your Delorean, knowing that part number is essential. In this case, you need part number 121G.

What Is 121G?

The part is a Flux Capacitor for a 1981-1983 Delorean DMC-12. If you haven't caught on to what's happening here, it's a "Back To The Future" troll. Here's part of the description:

  • Time Travel at your own RISK!
  • Plutonium is required to properly operate the flux capacitor
    • Plutonium is used by the onboard nuclear reactor which then powers the flux capacitor to provide the needed 1.21 gigawatts of electrical power.

This is very much a searchable item, on the O'Reilly Auto Parts website. Just type 121G, or "Flux Capacitor"  into the parts locator.  You can also just click here to check it out.
