STOMP is Coming to Lubbock’s Buddy Holly Hall
The percussion sensation STOMP is coming to Lubbock's Buddy Holly Hall next month to thrill the 806 with their "pulse-pounding electrifying show", which features an 8-member troupe that uses everything from wooden poles, brooms, garbage pan lids, and so much more to create magnificent rhythm and music.
STOMP was created back in 1991 by original members Steve McNicholas and Luke Cresswell in Brighton, England. The group grew in popularity, added members, and toured across Europe before hitting it big and taking on the rest of the globe. They've been featured on shows like Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, Sesame Street, Space Ghost, Reading Rainbow, and so many more.
The performance will be on February 12, 2024, at 7:30 pm at Buddy Holly Hall. Tickets are on sale at the box office and online. According to the American Theater Guide, STOMP's performance begins promptly at the advertised curtain time, so make sure you give yourself ample time to get to your seats. If you aren't there on time, you might be asked to wait in the lobby until the tour approves your entrance. The show runs for 90 minutes and does not include an intermission. It's all business.
It sounds like a great early Valentine's Day date night to me! Grab yourself and ticket and go see what everyone has been ranting about for all of these years.
I'm pretty excited to see them. It's going to be sort of nostalgic for me. I remember them being so popular when I was a kid and I always wanted to check out the show. I'll see you there.
