We all know what happened on Saturday's game versus Iowa State. The Red Raiders won with a 62-yard field goal at the very last second, 41-38. Not only was this game crazy, but it also made us bowl eligible.

But first, let's go back a few years to 2013. Texas Tech Football is playing 24-ranked TCU under head coach Kliff Kingsbury. The Red Raiders end up winning this game at home by Davis Webb's 19-yard touchdown pass to Bradley Marquez, breaking a tie with less than four minutes left in the game.

Texas Tech ended up winning that game 20-10, and a packed Thursday night crowd stormed the field. Check out the video below to see the fan reaction:

I was at both of these games, and rushed the field both times. I started thinking, how do these two things correlate? Was there some random thing that connected both the matchup against TCU and the game against Iowa State? And then it hit me.

The Josh Abbott Band performed at halftime with their song "Victory Bells" in 2013, and Saturday they played before the game at Raider Alley. These are the only two recent times Texas Tech has had a big win like this at home and the crowd rushed the field.

To say we need Josh Abbott at every big home game might not be so crazy, don't you think? Don't get me wrong, both times the team played their hearts out and definitely won the game. The defense didn't stop even though several calls did not go their way, it didn't stop them from playing their game and showing everyone who deserved it and should have won. Our quarterback Donovan Smith had his first start since high school and he owned the field. It just shows how determined they are to show this country how they can really play.

While I know the team as a whole could have done with without JAB there, the song "Victory Bells" really does bring some luck to Jones AT&T Stadium.
