If You Use an Inhaler, It Might Be Under a Recall
No Recall Reaper on this one because it's very serious.
According to the FDA, Ventolin HFA (albuterol sulfate) inhalers made my GlaxoSmithKline have been recalled.
GSK has stated the drug delivery system is defective.
According to the FDA, the following products are part of the recall:
- Lot number 6ZP9848, expiration date March 2018
- Lot number 6ZP0003, 6ZP9944, expiration date of April 2018.
This falls under an FDA Class II recall, which means the inhaler: "may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote."
If you have one of these inhalers, take it back to the place of purchase for refund or replacement.
