Houston TV News Crew Helps a Truck Driver Stuck on a Flooded Road
It's not every day that someone in the media is directly responsible for saving someone's life. Well, I call Brandi Smith, a reporter for Houston Station KHOU, a hero!
Smith and her photographer were doing a live shot about recent flooding and rescue attempts when her videographer noticed a man in a semi and the access road below them. I'm estimating that he was stuck in 10-12 feet of water that was rising.
Brandi flew into action, stopping a Harris County rescue crew and altering them to the situation.
Sherrif's deputies were able to get the truck driver to safety and he even gave Brandi a hug after the situation was over. Congrats to Brandi and her videographer for being true heroes!
