There has been a lot of back and forth on the Bill Murray and "Ghostbusters 3" movie, but this sounds kind of official:  Bill is BACK IN! That comes from Harold Ramis who co-wrote the first two movies and plays Ghostbuster Egon Spengler.

He says, quote, "It was kind of crazy.  Just out of nowhere, I get a phone call from Bill at almost three in the morning . . . and he simply said, 'Yeah, OK, I'm in!'  That's Bill Murray for you.  Surprising and straight to the point. We have all missed bill the past few years especially in a role like "Pete Venkmin". We got a little taste in "Zombieland" but it was not near enough.

"Bill also said a major factor in his decision to do the movie had been all the support he received from fans." That means the three main Ghostbusters Murray, Ramis and Dan Aykroyd are on board.  There's no word yet on Ernie Hudson  a.k.a. the token black Ghostbuster will be in as well but I'm sure he will be ready. He probably has not worked in a few years.  Weaver is set to return, and there's even talk that Rick Moranis will come out of retirement to take part.  He hasn't acted since doing a voice in "Brother Bear 2" in 2006.
