Last Thursday April 4th was the anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. That shouldn't make you feel good. But listening back to his "I Have A Dream" speech will.

Its horrible to think of it as an anniversary, but it is one of the most important anniversaries in American history. And there's no better way to overcome the hatred of his assassination that to keep his memory and legacy alive.

It's also pretty moving to see this picture of him removing a burnt cross from his yard while his son MLK the 3rd stands by as if nothing is happening.

Here's the speech.

And here's U2's ultimate tribute to the reverend, "Pride (In The Name Of Love)". I dropped the live version in because when the crowd begins to sing along at the end its one of the most powerful moments in concert history.
