The Country Music world is reeling as the reports of Randy Travis are getting worse. Reports issued early Wednesday (July 10) indicated that the 54-year-old singer’s condition was improving. This evening we are sorry to report he was rushed into emergency surgery to relieve pressure on his brain after suffering a stroke.

Medical staff explained that Travis was suffering from congestive heart failure after being admitted to a McKinney, Texas hospital on Sunday, Travis has since been transferred to Baylor’s best heart facility to receive specialized care.

The stroke came as a complication of his congestive heart failure. As of 9:30PM ET on Wednesday Travis was in surgery. He remains in critical condition.

Travis has fans that span all genres and is a beloved American Country singer songwriter. His family and friends are at the hospital and they thank fans for their support of the singer. More updates will be provided as they become available.
