Coolio has had a long and storied career, featuring absolute bops like "Fantastic Voyage," "1, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin’ New)," "C U When U Get There," and, of course, "Gangsta’s Paradise." He performed all the hits today while rapping with Raider Red at the Texas Tech Raider Alley party heading into the Homecoming matchup against TCU.

Coolio adds to the great lineup of Raider Alley acts in 2021 that includes DJ Diesel aka Shaquille O'Neal and Waka Flocka Flame.

The 90s super star also famously feuded with "Weird" Al Yankovic after the latter parodied his song "Gangsta's Paradise" to create a new banger entitled "Amish Paradise." If I wasn't worried about Coolio suing me as well, I'd drop my version of the song based on Lubbock and Texas Tech that starts:

"As I walk through the valley of avenue q

I take a look at my team and realize we’re almost through

Cause they’ve been blastin’ and Raidin’ so long

that Even my momma thinks the team is done

Been spendin’ most my life

In Raider Red’s Paradise."

Even at 58 years young, Coolio was rocking the stage and was even spotted with the Gorilla Davis Smith in Lubbock, so be on the lookout for a new commercial coming soon on the local airwaves.

Enjoy this gallery of photos of the great Coolio and the amazing show he put on with Raider Red in his totally authentic Texas Tech jersey. Also, shoutout to the hype man, band, and drummer, who also had on the uniforms.
