Connecticut Man Faces Up to 30 Years in Prison for Child Exploitation
Yesterday a Connecticut man pleaded guilty for sexually exploiting a child.
Back in May 2021, a 14-year-old girl was taken from her home in Georgia and brought to Lubbock by Robert David Fyke, a man sentenced recently for producing child pornography.
While the child was with Fyke, she began communicating with 36-year-old Wayne Marcell. In June, Marcell paid $2,000 for someone to drive the girl from Lubbock to Illinois and from there, he transported her to his home in Connecticut. There sexual acts took place as well as taking images and videos.
Marcell was arrested on June 23rd, and has been in jail since on state charges. Marcell was found guilty on one count of sexual exploitation of a child. He faces up to 30 years in prison.
In related news, Fyke pleaded guilty in December 2021 to child sex crimes and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
