Championship Bull Riding Lands In Lubbock

As the time draws closer and the riders begin to make their way to town I thought I would ask my dad to share a few of his old bull riding stories. Boy did he have stories.

He let me in on a little secret that is Rough and Ready, the hardest bull he has ever rode. He said that bull was the worst around. No one could last 8 seconds. But he was determined.

At the end he felt beat and bruised, like the bull had done everything but put a knife in him. His hand was torn and his back hurt, but he heard that buzzer. He had done it.

Tomorrow night many others will ride bulls like Rough and Ready and hope they can keep handle on that rope too. It's one ride, it's 8 seconds, and it's their only option to just hold on.
