Billy Ray Spoke Too Soon

Yesterday everybody was talking about the Billy Ray Cyrus story in G.Q, where he said he regretted pushing his daughter into show business, and implied that, under the influence of her mother, she's spiraling out of control. Turns out, he was exactly right. He did the interview a month before the Grammys, which is where Miley was spotted getting hot and heavy backstage with 33-year-old John Mayer! Apparently Mayer has had his eye on Miley for along time. Back in November he showed up unannounced to her 18th birthday party.

The sparks really ignited on february 12th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, during a big pre-Grammy awards bash: An eyewitness says, "She followed him around all night like a puppy dog. She had her arm around his waist, and even grabbed his rear end." Things got even hotter the next night at the Grammys. Another eyewitness says, "At one point, Miley was rubbing John's back and, when he thought no one was looking, he leaned over and kissed her! It was quick, but intense. Afterward, Miley slapped his butt and said 'you rock!"

I don't understand what he sees in her, but I can't help but think how creepy the whole thing is.
