Two weeks ago, Jay-Z and Kanye West were flown to Dubai to perform at the Sweet 16 bash of an Arab billionaire’s daughter, and for the effort they took home millions of dollars.
The Sun reports that hip-hops biggest superstarsrecieved nearly $6 million for the performance — roughly $2.97 million each. $500,000 a song. The ‘Watch the Throne’ rappers, who are nominated for a combined 10 awards at the 2012 Grammys, including Best Rap Album for their collaborative effort and Best Rap Song for ‘Otis,’ played multiple sets during the show.

 

The lucky birthday girl is the sister of Sheikh Mansour, owner of British soccer club Manchester City. They are part of the ruling family of the United Arab Emirates.
