Nicki Minaj's in-depth profile in The New York Times Magazine has been all the chatter on social media today (Oct. 7). Now fellow rapper Azealia Banks has some issues with The Pinkprint creator for her words aimed at Miley Cyrus.

At contention is Minaj explaining why she called out Miley Cyrus at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. The rap superstar accused the singer of appropriating black culture and failing to address the issue of the lack of black female artists being nominated at the VMAs.

“You’re in videos with black men, and you’re bringing out black women on your stages, but you don’t want to know how black women feel about something that’s so important?” Minaj said in the interview.

Banks went on Twitter to question Minaj’s actions and believes that it’s not just about race. “I wish Nic would stop trying to turn this Miley thing into a race issue cuz she was mute about cultural approp. until she became 'victim,'" she tweeted.

"As much as we want to complain about cultural appropriation from without we still aren't being as heralded as men within hip-hop because we have no pack mentality," she added.

The Broke With Expensive Taste creator also threw some shade at Minaj over her comments about body image and rap, and even suggested that Minaj had some surgery done on her body to make it more voluptuous.

“Plus how u gonna complain about a video with skinny women when ur body is enhanced .. You too were once a skinny woman,” she tweeted. “I am a skinny black woman. Not every black woman can afford enhancements so it’s not fair to other girls to make it about that.”

The "212" rapper also defended Lil' Kim ,who has been the victim of Minaj and her fans' ire for years. Banks made a plea for unity among female rappers but she feels that will never happen in the current state of hip-hop.

"The fact that Lil' Kim was treated the way she was by hip-hop (I am also guilty of being on this bandwagon) is ridiculous to me," she tweeted. "I may just have to get over the very utopian idea of a female rap sorority cause it ain't happening while capitalism is at play. LOL."
