Well – let’s see, I started my career in radio in 1998 and swore I would never do anything else. I come from a very musical and theatrical background. My father was a musician, which is how I got my name - “Amy” by Bobby Darin. He stop playing when I was born and then became a music teacher and now runs an old historic theater in Odessa – The Ector Theatre – with my mother. My mother was a dancer – tap and ballet – I don’t know when she stopped dancing and decided to teach dance – but she was my tap teacher. I also took ballet and jazz lessons from the age of 4 until diagnosed with Lupus at 15. I took classical piano lessons for 8 years also. So, as you can see music has always been in my family. I met my husband when we were 16 years old – in my hometown of Odessa, TX – at a Permian High School Football game – where we both graduated. We’ve been together ever since and have 2 kids. He is a Registered Nurse at a local hospital. My son, Jake, is 16 and plays football for Coronado High School (GO STANGS!!) where I am the booster club president for the football team. I absolutely LOVE high school football and have taken it upon myself to “adopt” all 200+ Coronado football players and call them all “son”. I am VERY passionate and protective of those kids! My daughter, Bri, is 10 and plays drums in a little rock band at School of Rock and is in the Honor Choir at her school. She clearly inherited the music from dad and I am excited about that! Her ultimate goal is to be a drummer and lead singer of a rock band – and she will I’m sure! And basically that’s about it – but just for fun I will give you 5 “fun facts” about myself - 1. I have a very real fear of bad odors! 2. Feet absolutely disgust me – and is not something anyone wants to tease me with. 3. I have a titanium mesh plate and nine screws in the back of my head. 4. I LOVE Karaoke! (Don’t judge) 5. I make my bed every night before getting into it because my covers must be straight and perfect. There ya have it – that’s who I am! I’m excited to talk to you, and feel free to follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Email or Instagram – I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends!

Kissing – A Kiss For Every Occasion
Everyone loves to be kissed. Maybe a kiss on the cheek from a friend you haven't seen in a long time; or a kiss on the forehead from Mom or Dad when you're not feeling well.

What Did You Say?
Yesterday I was standing in line at the grocery store. There was a man standing in front of me who turned around and made an attempt to pay me a compliment. He said (and I hope my ‘spelling’ matches the pronunciation of the words he chose),
“Dayum Ma – Whachoo lookin all hawt fo tuhday...

Where Is The Body?!
Saturday night (technically Sunday morning as it was 3:45am) I was driving home from a station event and came up on a horrific site that included a demolished Lincoln, a railroad crossing sign laying across train tracks, a ton of blood – and the scariest part…a train coming down the tracks...
