If you don't remember, Texas Tech has a baseball team. It's been a long time since we've been able to watch them play, but they are still there and working hard to get to Omaha.

Speaking of Omaha, nobody at Texas Tech owns a bigger "What if the Rona never happened..." than the old ball coach Tim Tadlock who had a seriously impressive roster that was rounding into form entering Big 12 play before the season was unceremoniously canceled in the early stages of the COVID-19 interruption.

There is good news and bad news to the missing National Championship opportunity in Tadlock's trophy case. The bad news is you can't go back and replay last season. The good news is that this 2021 team might be even better than the 2020 squad.

Perfect Game ranked the Red Raiders at number three in their annual preseason rankings, the best start ever for the program.

The team also has preseason All-Americans in Micah Dallas, Dylan Neuse and Cal Conley. Not to mention breakout stars like Jace Jung, Nate Rombach, Ryan Sublette and Hunter Dobbins all back for another taste of glory this season.

A fun fact about Dylan Neuse, who is listed at 5'9" on the roster, he can literally fly.

Don't believe me just watch:

If Neuse had been at the NFL combine, his broad jump would have tied CeeDee Lamb and Antoine Winfield Jr and would have beaten Jerry Jeudy, Cam Akers, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Devin Duvernay.

The Red Raiders haven't released a schedule yet but they'll be back on the diamond soon and Dylan Neusey will be jumping over the catcher instead of sliding and it will be glorious.
