Lubbock's new indoor and outdoor activity fun park is about to get a little wilder.

Adventure Park's new ropes course is set to open this summer, the park told us. The three-story course, dubbed Cypress Peak, offers tight ropes and bridges that must be traversed with the help of a harness (a la their climbing walls). The course may not look exactly like the picture above, but should be fairly similar, said Jade Champion, the Sales Manager at Adventure Park.

Like a ski mountain, each climber chooses their own level of challenge. The course allows you to scale 3 stories, walk on tightropes, cross bridges, and perform over 45 physical challenges to keep your adrenaline high!

Here are the rules and requirements for Cypress Peak from Adventure Park's website:

HEIGHT REQUIREMENT

  • 44 inches

OTHER SAFETY GUIDELINES

  • 300-pound weight limit
  • Closed-toed shoes required
  • No jewelry
  • Long hair must be tied back.
  • No items in pockets
  • No alcohol consumption allowed for guests using Cypress Peak
  • For kids 10 and under, an adult must be present

The ropes course isn't the only addition planned for the park this summer. The owners are also hoping to open a mountain bike trail and zip line.

Adventure Park is located at 5110 29th Drive in Lubbock, Texas. You can visit their website for more information, or call them at: (806) 793-7275
