ABC Pro Rodeo Is Back in 2021
After the cancellation of the ABC Pro Rodeo in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the rodeo's organizers have announce that it's returning in 2021.
The 78th Annual ABC Pro Rodeo is taking place at the Mallet Event Center & Arena in Levelland, Texas. with a special kickoff event scheduled for Saturday, March 27th.
The first Saturday will look like this:
- 8 a.m. - Rockin' F Hat Works BBQ Cook-Off
- 12 p.m. - ABC Pro Rodeo Cornhole Tournament
- 4 p.m. - First Bank & Trust Kick-Off to Rodeo Week with performances by Bands from South Plains College
- 4:30 p.m. - Levelland Chamber of Commerce Ribbon-Cutting
- 7:30 p.m. - Spur 327 Band performs for Kick-Off Dance/Silent & Live Auction
Food and beverages will be available to purchase throughout the day.
The ABC Pro Rodeo itself will happen Thursday, April 2nd at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 3rd at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 4th at 1:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 5th at 7:30 p.m.
Throughout the week, there will be events such as the Fibermax Mutton Bustin' Competition on March 29th, the 5 D Barrel Race on March 31st, and Steer Roping on April 5th. For the complete schedule, visit abcrodeo.com.
Tickets can be purchased on their official website. Tickets for the Cowboys & Gypsies Vendor Show on April 3rd will be available at the door starting at 10 a.m.
Proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lubbock.
