We all love Will Smith. Whether he has us in tears from laughing or pulling at our heart strings. Will has become a true American treasure to the thespian community. I had the opportunity to meet the man and his wife Jada right here in Lubbock about 4 years ago. Jada, his wife, was the lead vocalist of a very heavy metal band, Wicked Wisdom, that performed here in Lubbock in the winter of 2008.

Will flew in via the families private G6 jet for the show and I was able to see the sound check and meet Will later that night. Truly one of the most impressive individuals I have ever had the privilege of meeting. It's as if he only talks to you. A room full of people and a metal rock show going on and he somehow makes you feel that his time at that moment is for only you.

Actually after the show he was heading down a winding case of stairs and he lost his balance and he missed 6 steps at the bottom stumbling right into my arms. I helped him gain his bearings and he said, "Nice Catch Big Papa," hugged me and jetted.

It was a surreal night and meet and greet since I had watched him for so many years on the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" every Friday night. With that in mind check out this mash-up I found on YouTube:

Oh, if you have never seen them, here is Jada and her band, Wicked Wisdom.
