In the last couple of years the alcohol market has been flooded with this rash of inexpensive flavored vodkas. For around 15 bucks you can experience cherry, whipped cream, pomegranate, raspberry, peach, ginger, black pepper, sour apple, vampires blood, orange, chocolate, pineapple and the list goes on and on and on. The popularity of these libations has forced the bigger and more distinguished (expensive) distilleries to add some flavor to their menu. But I think the line has been crossed.

Van Gogh Vodka has just released Peanut Butter and Jelly flavored vodka. (Yuck) Their distiller is Tim Vos.  He created the vodka and ended up using a raspberry jelly flavor.  Quote, "The raspberry jelly came out the best.  It's fresh, fruity, and mingles very well with the oily structure of the peanut butter. "I'm not sure if "fruity" and "oily" are qualities I look for in my vodka, but some people might. Van Gogh Vodkas are for sale at liquor stores in all 50 states now, so this flavor should be coming to stores soon to join their other flavors including grape vodka, banana vodka, caramel vodka, and coconut vodka.

The number for Van Gogh Vodka is 888-539-3361 and the website is vangoghvodka.com/

What do you think guys? Has it gotten out of control or does a PB&J flavored vodka appeal to you? As for me? I'm gonna stick with my Absolute.
