MTV Releases Their Top 5 “Songs Of The Summer”, What Is Yours? [VIDEO]

Even though it still doesn't really feel like summer is over, it will be ending officially soon. So MTV took a poll to find out what people's favorite summer song was. With over 500,000 votes cast it's a pretty good sample. And this top 5 accounted for over 95% of the total vote. That means that no other song even got 1%. Here's their top 5.

#5 Katy Perry "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" 1.2% of the vote

#4 Rihanna "S&M" 7.9% of the vote

#3 Lady Gaga "The Edge Of Glory" 11.9% of the vote

#2 Britney Spears "I Wanna Go" 36.6% of the vote (and my personal favorite)

And #1 is Bad Meets Evil "Lighters" 38.2% of the vote

Notice too that all of these have been KISS FM #1 hits. Some of the other songs that got a few votes are Adele's "Rolling in the Deep", LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem", Pitbull's "Give Me Everything", Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" and "Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera. I thought Pitbull would have been a lot higher, but I didn't vote. So there is MTV's listeners list. What is your favorite summer song?
