The album was released on October 21, 2011 in Ireland, October 24, 2011 in the United Kingdom, and October 25, 2011 in the United States. On the week ending 10 December 2011, Christmas rose to number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 album sales chart, becoming Bublé's third chart-topper, following 2007's Call Me Irresponsible and 2009's Crazy Love.

    On November 1, 2011, Bieber released Under the Mistletoe, his second studio album. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 210,000 copies in its first week of release. Bieber is currently recording his third studio album entitled Believe. Kanye West and Drake are confirmed to be featured on the album. On December 11, 2011, Bieber will be the featured performer on the annual variety special Christmas in Washington, airing on pay-per-view in select cities and the following December 16 on TNT.
