Ho, Ho, No, No!

This is the most difficult time of the year to say "no" to sweets. They're everywhere, like tumbleweeds rolling through my day. I just make it through the United Grocery Store Bakery, past the Fast Food places to walk into work and find cupcakes.

I averted my eyes as I poured my coffee and let out a sigh of relief as I sat behind my desk, knowing that the seams in my jeans are working overtime.

The last time this happened was Halloween, when people brought their leftover candy into work because they didn't want to keep it at home, because they'll eat it. Very tricky, as when something is offered as an act of sharing, it's hard for me to refuse.

So maybe this year, I'll ask Santa to bring me new jeans, one size larger or maybe a gym membership...I trust He knows which one will get the most use.
