Eminem’s Childhood Home Up For Auction (Photo)
If you've always wanted to own a little piece of Eminem here's your chance. The house in Detroit where a young Marshall Mathers (aka Eminem) spent his childhood is up for auction. The Detroit News reports the 747-square-foot single-family house at 19946 Dresden, which was pictured on the cover of his 2000 release, “The Marshall Mathers LP,” sits vacant. The minimum bid for the property is $1.
According to public records, the home was listed as the address of Emnem’s mom Deborah Mathers, from 1989 to 2003. A former owner of the home previously listed the home on eBay for $500,000 according to the paper, but got no bids. It later sold for $24,650 in 2007.
