When something majorly tragic happens, many of us seek to understand it. Really, that's part of what makes us human - our curiosity. It's how we solve problems and how we prevent them in the future...sometimes.

Something very tragic happened to a Texas City, Texas teen and her family. After a crushing amount of extreme cyber-bullying, 18-year-old Brandy Vela took her own life in front of her family.

As per usual, people commented on the news story with their opinions. Nowadays, everyone is an armchair psychologist. Some of the commentary was not only false, but obnoxious, unhelpful, rude and possibly dangerous. I break those comments down in the video above.

Let me be abundantly clear. Although I do not blame Brandy or her family at all, I must state that in no way do I wish to glorify suicide. Someone I love committed suicide and it is a gaping whole in my chest that will bleed forever. Life always holds more adventures, infinite alternatives, and many many open doors. I swear it.

If you or someone you know is considering suicide, please, PLEASE seek help immediately. You can call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline anytime: 1-800-273-8255.
