Batten Down the Hatches: The First ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Teaser Is Arriving ‘Soon’
While everyone at the D23 expo over the weekend got to see some exciting stuff out of the upcoming MCU films, especially Avengers: Infinity War, we plebeians will have to wait a while to lock eyes on any footage from the next Avengers movie. But, if co-director Joe Russo is to be believed, we can expect Marvel Studios to roll out a teaser for the movie… “soon.”
James Gunn Announces David Hasselhoff ‘Guardians Inferno’ Music Video to Accompany ‘Guardians Vol. 2’ Home Video
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 home video release is imminent, and, naturally, because this is a James Gunn movie and a Marvel movie, there will be a bunch of fun bonus features to entice you to purchase it. One of these, Gunn himself announced today, is a music video for “Guardians Inferno,” the disco-inspired track that plays over the movie’s end credits and features a performance by none other than David Hasselhoff.

Patty Jenkins Says She’ll Be Back for ‘Wonder Woman 2’
When Wonder Woman dominated the box office on its opening weekend (and continued to do so over many more), two questions were on everyone’s minds: Would there be a Wonder Woman 2, and would Patty Jenkins come back to direct it? She hadn’t signed a multiple-film contract, so about a month ago it looked oddly up in the air for her. But she has since announced that she’s working on the sequel treatment, and recently said that yes, she would indeed be back at the helm of Wonder Woman 2.
‘Polaroid’ Trailer: Welp, Say Goodbye to Taking Selfies Ever Again
In the realm of horror, it’s much easier to make analog technology scary than digital. While we do find unexpected brilliance in movies like Unfriended, there’s something about physical media that lends itself better to creepy — the VHS of The Ring is so much more sinister than, say, a viral YouTube video, even though it would be much easier to curse people with the latter. Which brings us to Polaroid, the latest B-movie horror flick to take an old-fashioned piece of technology and make it scary — and it actually looks pretty creative.
Josh Brolin Has Some Schmutz on His Face in a New ‘Deadpool 2’ Cable Transformation Photo
Josh Brolin’s Cable is, at this point, the most anticipated part of Deadpool 2, and as we have seen, he’s very game to get to get into full time-traveling cyborg warrior shape. He’s also game to have some weird-looking blue molds taken of his face, apparently, as his latest Instagram tease of his characters shows.
Watch Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe Beat Each Other Up in This ‘Mummy’ BTS Video
Tom Cruise’s The Mummy is the beginning of a new Dark Universe for Universal Studios, and as such is tasked with connecting this film to a bunch of other ones in the franchise. The Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Bride of Frankenstein, the Invisible Man, and a bunch of others will soon be hitting the big screen, all under the Dark Universe umbrella. So, what fits them all together? The plot device — I mean, the Prodigium, of course.
Pixar’s Amazing ‘Coco’ Voice Cast Is Entirely Latino
Disney Animation and Pixar are heading into a bright new era of culturally influenced moviemaking, ushered in by Frozen’s Nordic-inspired production design and continued through Big Hero 6 and last year’s fantastic Polynesian fairy tale Moana. For their next trick, Pixar is traveling to the Land of the Dead for Coco, a Mexican-inspired adventure about a boy who finds the soul of a long-dead musician in the underworld. It also seems like Coco is taking a cue from Moana, because all of the cast for Coco is Latino.

Gal Gadot Almost Quit Acting, and Then She Was Offered ‘Wonder Woman’
Acting can be a thankless business. With all the work, the rejection, the dealing with people you don’t get along with, the exhausting hours and press tours, it’s a wonder than any celeb can stick it out as long as some of our greatest stars have. Sometimes all that disappointment can push an actor to the brink — and then the right audition at the right time for a fantastic role can pull them back again. That’s exactly what happened to Gal Gadot, a.k.a. our new Wonder Woman: before she was cast, she almost quit acting altogether.
