German authorities had to evacuate 2,500 people from a neighborhood in Munich on Tuesday. Why? They actually discovered a live WWII bomb buried under a bar that was being demolished.

The bomb weighed 550 pounds and was a U.S. Air Force bomb that had a "chemical delayed-action detonator". They decided that trying to defuse it was too dangerous, so they had no choice but to detonate it.  No one was hurt, but it caused millions of dollars in damage.
They did it at night, so it's pretty cool footage.
