World’s Ugliest Dog Winner Falls Off Stage [VIDEO]

When a Chihuahua named Yoda took the stage, she was just the latest pup to win the title of World’s Ugliest Dog. But when she accidentally fell off, she tumbled headlong into an elite class of celebrity — those who have been caught on video taking a spill on stage, including megastars Rihanna, Beyoncé, Keith Urban and Justin Bieber. Luckily, Yoda was unharmed by the fall.

In case you missed it, Yoda, a 14-year-old, 1.8 pound Chinese Crested Chihuahua from Hanford, California, was crowned World’s Ugliest Dog at the Sonoma-Marin Fair this past Saturday night. Her prizes? A trophy more than 15 times his size and a check for $1,000. Yoda’s owner Terry Devine Schumacher says that the ugly pooch almost didn’t become a part of her brood: When her two-year-old daughter spotted Yoda in a field 14 years ago, she initially told her daughter to put the animal down because she thought Yoda was a rat.
