A homeless woman was arrested after it's said that she set a porta potty on fire near Citizens Tower in Downtown Lubbock.

KAMC News reports that at around 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, December 19th, a Lubbock Police officer was near the Citizens Tower parking garage, located at 1314 Avenue K, and saw the porta potty on fire. Another officer claims that he saw the suspect, 59-year-old Sylvia Ann Euresti, set it on fire.

The second officer says that they noticed heavy smoke and flames coming from the south side of Citizens Tower. They also saw multiple flower beds on fire.

A witness at the scene says that they saw Euresti wafting the flames of the fire, seemingly in an attempt to keep it from going out. The witness said that Euresti was walking back and forth from the fire, getting close each time.

Euresti was searched by police, and a lighter was found in one of her pockets. A video taken by the aforementioned witness also depicted Euresti almost placing her hands into the fire.

Euresti was arrested on an arson charge and booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center. Her bond was set at $10,000.
