A Wolfforth man was shot as he was driving to a pharmacy in Lubbock the night of Friday, January 14th.

The victim, who hasn't been publicly identified, told police that sometime between 11:45 p.m. and midnight, he was driving eastbound near the 5600 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway. He was heading to the CVS Pharmacy near Marsha Sharp and Slide Road.

KAMC News reports that while on the way there, a car began driver next to the victim on the driver's side. The victim says he heard a loud pop and assumed he had a blown tire. He got to check but found that his tires were fine.

At this point, the victim heard 2 gunshots next to him and felt what he describes as a bee sting on his left arm. He got into his truck and drove to his residence where he met his father. They then drove to Star ER at 7007 Indiana Avenue.

The victim had an entry and exit wound in his arm when police checked him, and a single bullet hole was located near the rear driver side of the victim's truck.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was unable to provide any information on the suspect or suspects. As of Tuesday, January 18th, police had not made any arrests.
