Why Are We Still Using Daylight Saving Time and Inches? [VIDEO]

I don't usually rant about stuff but this just kind of irked me because of its ridiculousness. Texas could have gotten off DST but it was voted down. One reason why should astound you.

A Democrat Representative in the Texas Legislature actually argued against losing DST because he might be in church when the Cowboys games were on. Really? Really? REALLY?

Oh and while I'm complaining about stuff, why is America one of the 3 countries left in the ENTIRE WORLD who don't use the metric system? Is counting by ten harder than trying to convert 12 inches into 5,280 feet for miles? Again I say, really?
