In case you were curious, the answer is...

The same crap they do when they're inside your house. A researcher did a study about what cats do when they're outside the house cavorting around. Guess what? They chase things, they get into spots their not supposed to be in, and they climb stuff. Yeah that's exactly what they do inside the house.

The one part of this I really love is when the researcher said that the majority of cats "experienced at least 1 risk behavior" when they're out. Really? What the hell is considered a risk behavior when it comes to cats? Try everything.
