Copyright Infringement is what you call it when an artists "barrows' a little too much from another artist without their permission. This is the beef that we are seeing between Robin Thicke and Marvin Gaye III.

"Blurred Lines" (featuring Pharrell and T.I.) continues to set atop the  Hot 100 chart.  Marvin Gaye's family has made the accusation that the smash single  plagiarizes "Got To Give It Up," Gaye's 1977 dance classic which he wrote and composed.

Robin Thicke, Pharrell Williams and Clifford Harris, Jr. (better known as T.I.)
filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles requesting a ruling that their 2013 single does not infringe upon "Got To Give It Up," and that the two songs are "starkly different," according to the lawsuit.

It is rumored that Thicke's teams offered a six-figure sum to Gaye's family in order to prevent an impending lawsuit, the family of course has turned down the offer.
