‘Welcome to Mommyhood’ Hosting Fundraiser at First Friday Art Trail

WTM: Welcome to Mommyhood is hosting a fundraiser at tonight's (11/3/2017) First Friday Art Trail at the Tornado Gallery (1822 Buddy Holly). WTM is a support group for new mothers and their infant children ran by an absolutely lovely, compassionate person I am happy to call my friend.  Here are the event details, as per their Facebook Event Page:

 WTM is in desperate need of backjack chairs to increase the moms comfort as they commune and care for their little ones during group. We will be having a bake and stuff sale as well as a raffle for an awesome gift basket with tons of goodies from local sponsors to raise funds during First Friday Art Trail! Please let us know if you would like to donate baked goods or just come see us! We will be located in the Tornado Gallery courtyard.

If you are a new or expectant mother looking for support from other moms, be sure to join the group at Shepard King Lutheran Church (2122 18th, just west of Lubbock High School).

Welcome To Mommyhood is a gathering space for new mothers focused on building community. We meet every Thursday [at 10:30 a.m.] and discuss the things that make new parenthood wonderful, different, amazing, life changing, and sometimes challenging. Our meetings provide snacks, beverages and camaraderie and are donation based.
