Video: 18-Year-Old College Student Shocked to Learn Her Newly Assigned Roommate Is 52
For most new college students, dorm life is your first time to finally be away from your parents. Most of the time, the other students living in your quarters are around the same age as you, give or take a few years. You get to know one another while cramming for tests and holding one another's hair after too many shots of vodka.
What if you learned that your new roomie was 52 years old? Technically, that's old enough to be your grandmother.
One TikToker was stunned to learn that her newly assigned roommate was 52, which was much, much older than she anticipated.
Instead of sneaking out late with boys and having the college experience you see in the movies, living with a roommate that age could definitely put a damper on things.
What if you don't get along? What if the age difference makes them think they can just boss you around and make you go to bed at 9 p.m.? What if they are actually at college to learn? In this scenario, things were much worse than that.
So, it's not technically a dorm on campus. It's apartments near campus that are advertised for college students and anyone can live in them. Why then would the complex not at the very least try to pair roommates that were closer in age?
It seems the age difference was really the least of their problems. The woman was a drug addict and an alcoholic and drank all of the liquor in their apartment on the first and only night she stayed there. That's a problem no matter what age you are. Luckily, the girls were able to get her out of their apartment with a little help from dad, and I don't blame them one bit.
