Kelsee Pitman Loves Chilling at Velvet Taco’s Awesome Patio

Now that summer is here we're all looking for a great place in Lubbock to enjoy food and drinks. Well, boy, do I have the spot for you.

Velvet Taco is always my go-to place when I want to enjoy the weather at a patio. Not only is their patio so nice and colorful, but it's also covered just in case the Lubbock sun is too strong for us.

If you've never been to Velvet Taco, you're missing out. Not only are their tacos top notch but they also have a new Party on The Patio and Happy Hour menu on the way.

So what patio fare should you try at Velvet Taco? First off, you need a cool drink to cool off. Man, do they have some options. From sodas, beers, kick-ass margaritas, and even cute ranch waters they put in a Topo Chico bottle, I highly recommend them all.

When it comes to food choices, you can't go wrong. You obviously have to get one of their great sides. I normally go for the elote or queso -- both are amazing. My favorite queso is their Queso blanco because they do have two options. I've had almost all their tacos and you can't go wrong with any of them, but I actually got to try some new ones this time because they added more.

I tried their Weekly Taco Feature of Steak Milanese, which was great. I also tried their Buffalo Chicken for the first time and it's now one of my new favorites. I mean, how could you go wrong with crispy tenders, buffalo sauce AND bleu cheese? Yum! One of my other go-to picks is always the Chicken and Waffle.

If you have certain dietary needs, Velvet Taco is really good at having options for you as well.

All and all, my friend Shelby and I had the best time at Velvet Taco enjoying their patio and food. We can't wait for the Party on the Patio to start up.
