It's being reported that a trailer has been stolen over the Christmas holiday from the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum.

Not only was a trailer reported stolen, but it's said that a fence had been damaged in the process.

KAMC News reports that the crime happened sometime between the afternoon hours of Christmas Eve and Saturday, December 26th.

The president of the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum Foundation, which is located in the 4100 block of University Avenue, told police that the trailer was last seen on Christmas Eve at roughly 4 p.m. He had received an email on Saturday saying that someone had cut a hole in a fence at the arboretum.

The day after he received the email, the president went to the arboretum and noticed that there was damage to the fence, and that the trailer was missing. The contents of the trailer were not specified in news reports, and the same goes for any description of the stolen trailer.

While the trailer was gone, a pair of bolt cutters and wire cutters were said to have been left at the scene of the crime. Police have not named any suspects in this case.
