Well, this year's severe weather season has started early.
A Tornado Watch has been issued for Lubbock, Plainview, Post, and the South Plains until 9pm. The Tornado Watch also extends into the Texas Panhandle, including Deaf Smith and Randall counties. It also includes Curry and Roosevelt counties in Eastern New Mexico.
The main potential hazards with tonight's Tornado Watch: winds of at least 60 mph, hail between 1" to 2" inches in size, and possible tornadoes.
