We all remember the 90's right, well some of us do. I remember them because the followed the worst decade in the existence of mankind the 80's. I HATE MUSIC FROM THE 80's! Hair metal, glam and androgynous whatever bands? No thank you. Wete the 90's any better? Rolling Stone" recently polled their readers to come up with a list of The Worst Songs of the '90s.  They released the results yesterday.  Here's the Top 5:

"Tubthumping", informally known by its prominent lyric "I get knocked down", is a popular song released by the Anarcho-punk band Chumbawamba on 11 August 1997. It was their most successful single, peaking at #2 on the UK Singles Chart. It was also their best performance in the U.S., peaking at #6 in November of 1997 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song claimed the top spot in Italy and the U.S. Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart.

"Ice Ice Baby" Vanilla Ice (1990)


 
 

"Ice Ice Baby" is a hip hop song written by American rapper Vanilla Ice and DJ Earthquake. The song samples the bassline of "Under Pressure" by Queen and David Bowie, who did not initially receive songwriting credit or royalties until after it had become a hit. Originally released on Vanilla Ice's 1989 debut album Hooked and later on his 1990 national debut To the Extreme, it is his most famous and popular song. It has appeared in remixed form on Platinum Underground and Vanilla Ice Is Back! A live version appears on the album Extremely Live, while a rap rock version appears on the album Hard to Swallow, under the title "Too Cold".

"Macarena" is a Spanish dance song by Los del Río about a woman of the same name. Appearing on the 1994 album A mí me gusta, it was an international hit between 1995 and 1996, and continues to have a cult following. The "Bayside Boys Mix" became the best known version of the song, as it had English lyrics, sung by an uncredited artist. It was ranked the "#1 Greatest One-Hit Wonder of all Time" by VH1 in 2002.

"Barbie Girl" is a song by the Danish-Norwegian dance-pop group Aqua, who released the song in 1997 as their third single overall, and the first United Kingdom release. The song is included on the album Aquarium and was written by Claus Norreen and Søren Nystrøm Rasted after the group saw an exhibit on kitsch culture. The song topped the charts worldwide, particularly in European countries such as the UK, where it was a number-one hit for three weeks. It was also on top of the charts in Australia for the same length of time, and debuted and peaked at No. 7 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 on 6 September 1997 and It remains Aqua's biggest hit single in the USA to date, and their only one to reach the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100.
