The “Velvet Teddy-Bear” and Ex-Idol Ruben Studdard Will be on “The Biggest Loser [VIDEO]
Winner of Season Two "American Idol" Ruben Studdard will compete on the upcoming season of "The Biggest Loser". Ruben, of course, is the big guy with a bigger voice that beat out Clay Aiken back in 2003. Awwww poor Clay.
Dieting and excersise is no stranger to Ruben. He did an intense diet and workout program with a personal trainer in 2006 but it just wasn't working for him. At the time, he said, quote,
"I was losing weight, but I was exhausted. It was making me sick. I'm a big man. There was no way to do those workouts on that amount of food so everything was contradicting itself."
A little while later, he became a vegetarian and dropped more than 80 pounds .after starting out at 455 pounds but last year. But while going through a divorce last year his best friend Ronald McDonaldcame became his best friend and he put it all plus a few back on.
Ruben will be the first ever celebrity contestant on "The Biggest Loser". The upcoming season premieres on October 8th.
