Texas Trooper Pulls Over Pastor, Then Something Surprising Happens [Video]
What started out as a run-of-the-mill traffic stop in Texas took a surprising turn.
When Texas DPS Trooper Connor Hardin pulled over a car because it didn't have a front license plate, he had no idea the surprising situation that he would soon experience.
Trooper Hardin pulled over Pastor Davis on Highway 84 between Sweetwater and Snyder for not having a front license plate on his vehicle and for driving with an expired registration.
During the stop, Pastor Davis and Trooper Hardin joined hands and the pastor broke out in prayer while traffic passed by at high speeds.
Here's the full transcript of Pastor Davis' prayer:
Heavenly Father, in the matchless and marvelous name of Christ our King, I thank you for the opportunity to stand beside the highway in the Great State of Texas, joined in hand and in heart with a fellow Texan, a fellow friend, a fellow believer, a fellow seeker of the holy and divine will. I thank you Father for his courage. I thank you for his commitment to helping us who enjoy the safe passages of this state to just drive in such a pleasant and safe environment. God I lift him, I lift his family, I lift his co-workers, his colleagues and all that share his passion for correctness. And I just pray a hedge of protection around him and them and all that they put their hands to. God I lift and pray for every assignment, every passenger, every rider, every driver on these highways. I pray that they would first of all respect your law and then that they would respect the laws of our great state. God I bless you for this time. I thank you for this request. I honor you for this opportunity. And I just pray God, feel this prayer. Cover this my brother with the rich, royal and redemptive blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Bless him as he goes forth. Bless him as he goes home and camp your guardian angels around him that no hurt, harm or danger befalls he or any of his colleagues. Thank you God for yet ruling and reigning in the Kingdom of me. We ask it all. We petition you for it in the matchless name of Christ our Lord. Thank you God. Amen!
After the prayer, the officer asked Davis for a hug and the two shared a special embrace before returning to the monotony of their day's agenda.
Trooper Hardin later said he didn't give Pastor Davis citations, just warnings.
