There were a number of questionable calls in Texas Tech's 41-38 win over Iowa State, including an early interception off tight end Travis Koontz, an interception by Eric Monroe that was called a catch by Iowa State, and an interception by Dadarion Taylor-Demerson that was overturned.

There were also several strange pass interference calls that were called - or weren't called - by the officials that made the game a lot closer than it should have been.

The interception by Taylor-Demerson was particularly bothersome because it was intercepted by Texas Tech at the goal line, and it would have likely clinched the game. Then, all of a sudden, the referee called several unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and went to review the interception.

In the end, none of the brutal officiating mattered, which is why the Texas Tech Football Twitter account was able to drop this incredible troll job that’s subtle…without being subtle.

It didn't matter because Jonathan Garibay nailed a 62-yard field goal with no time remaining on the clock. After the game, Garibay asked the Red Raiders to make some noise in the Lou Groza award voting. It makes sense for him to win the award with a perfect kicking stat sheet and a 62-yard game-winner on his ledger.

Speaking of the 62-yard game-winner, here it is with the radio broadcast:

Here it is again, but with the Titanic music:

Texas Tech's favorite former son was hyped:

Their newest coach was also pretty pumped:

Back to Garibay... Does he lock in a NIL deal with Boot City or SpaceX on Monday?

The fans in attendance got to celebrate with the players on the field, too:

The players were happy too (obviously) with the win over Iowa State securing a 13th game and a bowl berth. Tahj Brooks has been electric in limited action this year around some injury.

Future NFL receiver Erik Ezukanma was tweeting:

Then, he gave everyone a peek into the locker room with Sonny Cumbie getting a game ball and the team going wild.

Another shot of the amazing celebration:

More behind-the-scenes action started coming from the locker room, with Damarcus Fields thanking the fans.

QB Donovan Smith thanked the fans after he won his first start since he was a quarterback at Frenship High School in 2019:

More players tweeted about the win:

Stats were shared:

And finally, my favorite reaction video of the night. A throwback from long ago when a player from a losing team couldn't even interview because of an awesome Texas Tech fan screaming about how the Big 12 officials tried to screw them over but they won anyway. Sound familiar?

GOOOO RAIDERSSSS.
