Texas Tech Completes Encouraging 1st Half
It wasn't a fast start but it was a solid ending to the first half for the Texas Tech Red Raiders who lead the Eastern Washington Eagles 28-10 at the end of the first half.
After punting on the first three possessions Texas Tech rattled off four straight touchdown drives including a one play 75 yard touchdown drive that featured a bomb from Nic Shimonek to Derrick Willies.
Speaking of Shimonek he's had solid start going 16-17 for 272 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The running game is also off to a strong start with 13 carries for 68 yards including a 25 yard Justin Stockton touchdown run. First year Red Raider Desmond Nisby has 55 yards on his first 5 Texas Tech rushes.
The Texas Tech defense has also had a decent start forcing a fumble, two punts and a turnover on downs in the first half.
Among the stars of the first half Keke Coutee stands out with 4 catches 94 yards and 2 touchdowns.
