I don't want this article to motivate any of you out there to start your own vigilante sting operation.  But when it comes to protecting your kids, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Last week, a woman in Harlingen, Texas noticed a suspicious friend request that her 12-year-old daughter got on Facebook.  It was a profile with no photo, from someone claiming to be a 20-year-old student named Freddy Love. The mother stepped in, pretending to be her daughter, and asked "Freddy" how he knew her.  "Freddy" said he didn't know her, but wanted to.  Then he started making sexual comments and asked her to sneak out to meet him in a Walmart parking lot.

The mother wanted to catch him in the act, so she disguised herself as her daughter with a wig and a hoodie.  Then she called the police and told them to meet her at the Walmart. When she got there, "Freddy" actually mistook her for her 12-year-old daughter.  He told her not to be scared and get in his car, so she opened the car door, and that's when the police jumped in and arrested "Freddy."

Freddy Love turned out to be 29-year-old Alfredo Hernandez, who was a middle school teacher in San Benito, Texas.  He was arrested for soliciting a minor and has quit his teaching job.
